“Her Body Is Here, But This Is No Longer Her” – Marie Claire Presents the Dementia Talking Circle

A journalist from Marie Claire spoke with Zsuzsa Hunyadi, curator of our partner organisation, the Kétker Community Foundation, as well as participants of the Dementia Talking Circle.

With the support of the Roots and Wings Foundation, the Kétker Community Foundation created the Dementia Talking Circle, where relatives (mostly “children” or spouses) can exchange knowledge and connect with one another. Experts are often invited to these sessions: when we attended, a music therapist and a mental health professional from a care home joined and shared useful tips on caring for people living with dementia.

As part of our media partnership with Marie Claire Hungary, the article features interviews with Zsuzsa Hunyadi and participants of the Dementia Talking Circle. It also addresses the challenges of caring for people with dementia, the quality of care, and a support publication developed by the foundation.
