Community Foundations Strengthened with the Support of Stronger Roots
Beyond regular meetings, Hungarian community foundations will spend the next year and a half engaging in shared learning, organising local giving circles, and developing new ways to reach out to and involve local businesses. All of this is made possible by the EU’s Stronger Roots programme.
Over the coming year and a half, the Stronger Roots grant – awarded to the Roots and Wings Foundation – supports the deepening of cooperation among community foundations and fosters stronger connections between these organisations and the local business sector.
During the programme, community foundations will learn together about national and international best practices, as well as new fundraising approaches and methods for broadening social connections. Those organisations that choose to do so will test selected methodologies that resonate with them in their own local contexts.
We believe that all this will strengthen the local embeddedness of community foundations, build new relationships with local businesses, and deepen collaboration among foundations through shared learning, mutual inspiration, and regular gatherings.
