Our Ambassador Campaign in February – Together We Can Give More!

Our anniversary ambassador campaign kicked off on February 1, during which our ambassadors encouraged support for our foundation with various creative commitments. In recent weeks, a wide range of activities have taken place: some composed music, others collected donations while exercising, conducted interviews, or shared interesting information about the positive impact of charitable giving.

Our ambassadors not only supported the campaign with words but truly participated in it. They walked, biked, swam for weeks, or even held the front with their children while their partners ran for the cause. The creativity and dedication with which everyone approached their own commitment deeply moved us. We thank each of our ambassadors for their enthusiasm and persistence!

A special moment for us was when one of our ambassadors, Kata Pálos, organized one of the campaign’s standout events, the fundraising performance Deep Breath. All tickets for the event on February 14 were sold out, and we eagerly awaited to experience the performance by Hanna Pálos, based on Rita Halász’s novel. The play is about facing ourselves, personal growth, and the nature of abusive relationships. After the performance, we engaged in a discussion with experts about abuse and the available support options for survivors. The evening was the result of a fantastic collaboration and could not have taken place without the volunteers of our NADE! program, to whom we are also very grateful for all their behind-the-scenes work.

The goal of the Roots and Wings Foundation’s 10 years of work is to build a Hungary where diversity is valued, and people are able to act together for common causes. Over the past decade, the foundation has supported numerous local communities both professionally and financially: we have distributed a total of 157 million forints (€389,000) to develop local initiatives.

During the February campaign, our ambassadors raised more than 3 million forints (€7,538), contributing to the foundation’s work and the achievement of our shared goals. We thank all our ambassadors and supporters for standing by us and joining us on this journey.
