Gábor Héra

Advisor

My name is Gábor Héra, I am a researcher and sociologist. For years, I worked as a market researcher for business organizations, taught research methodology at several universities, and spent eight years working for a civil organization. Currently, I am a research fellow at a research institute. In addition, I lead HOLO., an organization specializing in impact measurement, where I primarily work with civil society organizations.

I believe that impact measurement can offer significant value to the civil sector. The results of impact assessments can greatly support goal setting, the (self-)critical evaluation of achievements, staff involvement, the fine-tuning of communication, and the building of a broader social base. Since the birth of my son—almost a decade ago now—I have been working with the Roots and Wings Foundation. Based on this long-standing collaboration, I can say with confidence that the organization’s staff have recognized the role and importance of impact measurement. As a result, our joint work is characterized by mutual attentiveness and ongoing, meaningful, and in-depth conversations focused on designing impact measurement and interpreting results.
